History: Arthur Bell was a Harvard Law Student, his high school sweetheart, Jennifer Grahame, attended Yale studying Journalism. They were the perfect couple, their long-distance relationship never faltering, as so many most commomnly would. Two months after graduation, Arthur proposed to Jennifer. Within a year, they were married.
Two years into this marriage came Jennifer's news. She was expecting a child, a daughter. The couple could not have been happier, and through the next nine months they prepared for the arrival of their child. However, when the date came, disaster struck. Jennifer died in childbirth, leaving Arthur alone to raise his daughter, Serena Bell.
Despite growing up with only one parent, Serena could not have asked for a more loving environment, her father made her feel like she was the happiest girl in the world. Although the lack of a female role model meant Serena missed out on the more girly aspects of life. However, what she did enjoy was her youth soccer team. Granted, she wasn't the most athletic child, but she loved the chance to look up into the stands seeing the pride in her father's eyes.
Throughout her whole life, Serena excelled in English, showing her great creativity. It was this that led her to dream of, one day, becoming a journalist. Although her father did not discourage this, Serena always felt this was the sole part of her life her father was not proud of. The constant reminder of her mother now shone through in her personality, as well as her appearance.
Despite this, Serena continued her hopes of becoming a journalist, graduating High School with an acceptance letter to Harvard. After spending Two Years studying journalism, Serena departed with an internship at a local newspaper in a small town called Stamford.

Role Play Sample:
Jonathan lay across the hood of his car, his head rested upon his folded jacket as he gazed up to the sky. Practice had finished, and the rest of the team had sped away to dates, parties, or just heading home. But Jonathan hadn't felt ready to leave. He'd taken a pretty hard fall halfway through practice and had to sit out as the rest of the team prepared for their next game. It was just a sprain, his ankle would be fine by tomorrow, but the coach wouldn't chance it. Despite Jonathan's many pleas to let him play.
His eyes glanced down toward his foot, the thought of permanent damage suddenly scaring him. The worst possible fate for an athlete, to be physically unable to play. He wasn't ready to go home yet, the moment his father saw him limping in would be the biggest uproar. Being the only athlete in the family out of his brothers, Jonathan felt a lot more pressure from his father, and he hated how his brother's envied what they saw as admiration. He continued laying on the hood of his convertible, his eyes scanning the blue skies.
